4 years old health check
The aim of the Healthy Kids Check is to improve the health and well-being of Australian children. The Healthy Kids Check promotes early detection of lifestyle risk factors, delayed development and illness, and provides the opportunity to introduce guidance for healthy lifestyles and early intervention strategies
45 – 49 years old health check
This is a part of the Australian Better Health Initiative aimed at enhancing the capacity of the health system to promote good health and reduce the burden of chronic disease. It is believed that a health check at this stage of life can assist patients to make the necessary lifestyle changes to prevent or delay the onset of chronic disease.

  • A comprehensive medical assessment for permanent residents of residential aged care facilities a Healthy Kids Check for children aged at least three years and less than five years of age who have received or received their 4-year-old immunisation.
  • A health assessment for people aged 45-49 at risk of chronic disease.
  • A type 2 diabetes risk evaluation for people aged 40-49 years with a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes as determined by the Australian Type 2 Diabetes Risk Assessment Tool.
  • A health assessment for people aged 75 years and older.
  • A comprehensive medical assessment for permanent residents of residential aged care facilities.
