If you are experiencing a health issue, it is important to schedule an appointment with a doctor. At your appointment, the doctor will assess your medical history, ask questions about your symptoms, perform any necessary tests, and then diagnose and treat your condition. They may also refer you to a specialist or provide other care or treatments, such as lifestyle changes, medications, physical therapy, or surgical procedures. Your doctor will be able to give you advice on how to take care of your health and manage any condition that you have.

Diagnostic services can be offered to diagnose health conditions, determine potential underlying causes, and establish health and wellness goals. Diagnostic services can range from a physical exam and vital signs, to lab work, to genetic testing and scans. Diagnostic services provide invaluable information for health practitioners and their patients in order to establish a comprehensive health care plan.
Urgent health care is a medical service provided by healthcare providers that is meant to be provided promptly and without delays. This may include emergency treatment, such as stitches for a deep cut or urgent tests to diagnose an illness, as well as non-emergency services like regular check-ups. These services are often offered on a walk-in basis and don’t require an appointment. Examples of urgent care include primary care, pediatric care, specialty care, mental health care, sexual health care, urgent medical treatments, such as setting fractures and providing vaccinations.
Primary health care is the basic level of health care in a community. It involves prevention and treatment of illnesses and other health problems, as well as promotion of health, care and support services, health education and other components of health care. Primary health care services may include preventive care such as immunizations, physical exams and screenings, early diagnosis and treatment of diseases, family planning services, prenatal care, mental health care, nutrition counseling and services related to disease prevention.
An annual wellness physical is an important component of preventive health care for adults. It typically consists of a thorough physical exam by a doctor, along with blood work, a discussion about any lifestyle changes that might be beneficial, and screenings for diseases such as diabetes and cancer. The physical also provides an opportunity to discuss any medical concerns or preventive care, such as immunizations. The American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) recommends an annual physical exam for all adults, and many insurers cover at least part of the cost.
